Howard, a real life actual example. I bought the Win TV Theatre board last month. It came with the Wave chip and it works flawlessly and cost me nothing extra.

I want my kids to play games but the price of $39 is too steep to pay if they don't like the game or I find it objectionable for prurient reasons.

I put $10 in my WAVE Account. The chip stores it. While off line, any old time I want, when my kids are tying up the phone lines, I pop in the game disks.

I sample them for $2. The games I find boring I don't play again. The games I like I get a credit towars the purchase price. I play again next week when I feel like it. If I play enough I own the software free and clear. Pretty good idea. Visa does not do this.

How about that music CD. listen once for $0.50 and listen enough I own it.

How about the DVD movie?

How about buying that single Barron's article today for $0.05 instead of a subscription?

How about using turbo tax to do my taxes? Microsoft Excel? Myst?

Use your imagination. Visa can't touch this.

The main thing is the content providers. If they think pay per view, rent to own, microtransactions are the way to go, then thatis where we go.
