Jeff, you missed my point. I am not talking about the Q2 results. Who cares what the loss is in Q2? It is not what is driving the stock. The only thing that is important is the effect some Yamaha produced sales has on margins and the ramp of new products.
I also talked to an old xicor investor from the past who had bought back in and sold last week at mid to high 3's. When he called me last Monday to ask if I had sold, I said no. We had a slight disagreement on where the price was going from the then price of 3 3/4. I said up and he said he wanted to short the stock. I told him I didn't think that was a wise thing to do. I hope he took my advice.
Jeff, you need to get off your focus on Q2 losses and start paying attention to what is really driving the stock. I hope you didn't sell too much, although it sounds like you have. If you want to sell something, sell some of that other company we own.
Lastly, I am not so sure some kind of JV or even a buy out is as far fetched as you make it sound. After all, a mixed signal company that wants to incorporate some EEPROM into their product could find xico attractive. Although, I am NOT predicting it! It is just a possible bonus.
Nice new product introduced this week. Also, I wonder how many of those design boards they will sell. The revenue off them is not important, but selling a lot of them would be good for future chip sales. Just another thing to monitor. |
