I see. What about 'organized bands of longs' who do the same? Do you think for some reason that those who sell to open have the market in dishonesty cornered? I'd suggest you take a look around, there are many more 'organized bands' of people trying to sell you worthless stock at inflated prices. Check the SEC actions, and see how many were trying to fool folks into going long a worthless company versus those trying to scare folks into selling valuable stock. Wow, looks like just about every single one, doesn't it?
