Keith,

<I normally just go to the local Chapters or McNally Robinson, grab a new book off the shelf and a comfy chair and 6 hours later I am done and replace the book on the shelf>

Beat you to it ;-).

Spent my first two years learning TA by going to the bookstore and sitting there pulling everything off the shelf. You're right. Most TA and trading books are crap. I was in a panic the first time I actually paid for one of the more expensive ones (like $60 or so for TA of the Futures Market, same as you).

I dropped that reading practice for a number of years and bought what I wanted to read. However, made an exception last year for Electronic Day Trader and read it cover to cover at B & N one Sunday. Still can't find the value of buying that one.
