I've never known a man who was dating a divorced woman who really
"liked" her kids. Especially if they were over the age of seven. Most of
the time the kids never liked them either. Tolerate, yes................
like, never.

I dated several divorced women with kids when I was single (and eventually married one). It was easy to become fond of kids under ten or eleven real fast. I still feel bad (guilty?) about breaking up with a couple women because of their kids. I really liked them, they sure acted like they liked me, and I believed they needed somebody to be a Dad (or at least a stepdad) in their lives. I hope they turned out OK and wish there some way to find out (I/they live in other states now). Course if I found out they turned out to have problems, then I'd really feel bad.

Teenagers or near-teens are something else. I've come to learn that teenage years are often hard for everybody involved.
