OK, thanks for the info. I have never heard of this before. All I can think about is the first few chapters in Moby Dick, where Ishmael shares a bed with Queequeg (sp?). I don't think anyone would think that was a sexual relationship. More like making do when one is poor. But I don't know the particulars.
