Why all the hostility indeed? But it isn't originating with Chuca, methinks. Why should he suffer the arrogance of a technical whiz at all?

If T.S. wishes to point out the deficiencies in a PR, he can surely do so without the snot. Indeed, the restatement in his last post was clear and not abusive, and I think he might consider offering his editorial services to Rhombic. Ergo, I know he can be informative without being so beguiled by his (modest) place in the scientific hierarchy that he must sneer at a very good man.
