Clinton to meet Pakistan prime minister on Kashmir WASHINGTON, July 3 (Reuters) - President Bill Clinton, concerned by the dangerous situation in Kashmir, will meet on Sunday in Washington with Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the White House said Saturday. The Sunday meeting was arranged after Clinton spoke by telephone both with Sharif and with Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. Discussing Clinton's conversations with the two leaders, the White House said in a statement that ''all agreed the situation is dangerous and could escalate if not resolved quickly.'' ''At Prime Minister Sharif's request, the president will meet with him at Blair House ... to discuss how to resolve the immediate situation.'' Pakistan and India, who have fought two wars over Kashmir since 1947, have been engaged in a confrontation on India's side of the Line of Control (LOC) that divides Kashmir.
