i found this little gem in the symantec knowledge base. for anyone running norton utilities 4.0 or systemworks, this would apply to you.

"Norton Utilities 4.0 - Win95/98 Knowledge Base

WinDoctor Finds Errors that You Do Not Want to Fix

Situation:
WinDoctor finds errors on the computer that you decide are not really
problems, and you do not want to fix them. You want to know how you can
prevent WinDoctor from displaying an alarm every time it scans and finds
these errors, and whether WinDoctor can be configured to ignore these
errors.

Solution:
You can configure WinDoctor to ignore one or more errors. The errors
will still be there, and WinDoctor will list them as Ignored, but they will
no longer trigger the WinDoctor alarm.

To configure WinDoctor to ignore an error:

1. Run WinDoctor so that it will redetect the errors.
2. With WinDoctor still open, choose the View menu, and click
Advanced.
3. Right-click an error in the right pane, and choose Ignore.
4. Repeat Step 3 for all errors you want WinDoctor to ignore."

it works great. i was getting the same "invalid shortcut" error message and this ignore capability fixed that right up.

:)
