John, I would not pin blame for starting WW1 on the Habsburgs. I think the socio-economic forces at work in Germany and Britain had a little something to do with it. Anyway, a restoration is never going to happen. A restoration is just a romantic notion that I entertain. To elucidate the role of the Habsburgs in WW1, check out chapter 16 in Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn's magnum opus Leftism Revisited: From DeSade and Marx to Hitler and Pol Pot.
