Schools' choice widens as IT firms vie for users
...Corel also is making a strong bid to cement market share in government departments. It is offering a $130-per-PC licence for a package based on its WordPerfect Office 2000 suite, as a cross-grade from equivalent Microsoft products. The deal treats the government's entire PC population as a single customer.

Corel says this undercuts Microsoft's government licence arrangement by $270 per machine...
