I too have used VV for quite awhile and I agree that V5.0 is easier and better. I particularly like the timing page and new color guard. By nature I'm a short term investor and partial to shorting and I have found VV works well for this orientation -- most recently using the new screens for mini-rockets.

Having said that, however, I found that I must use a separate charting program along with VV as often VV brings one late to a stock's move, sometimes just before reversal. Using AIQ in conjunction with VV provides me with better charts and a better sense of where a stock is in its cycle.

If other users have had success with particular screens, ways of avoiding traps, or supplemental programs I'd be interested in hearing about them.
