That was a wonderful intro to the company. The only thing I have not listened to is the roadshow presentation.

However, based on what I see so far, the company basically has flat revenue (if you look at the last four quarters, not a year ago) and is losing $10 million per quarter. Its product line does not excite me. (I have almost no knowledge in this area). The key Sepra product line has been on the market for a good amount of time, without the success expected. What do "research and development programs in gene and cell therapy for cardiovascular disease" have to do with surgical products? It seems like a money-eating line that has an apples/oranges fit with the company.

I started out by saying $4 - WOW! - and have ended up by saying what is a company worth that seems to have a high probability of burning up its cash in 5 years with nothing to show for it. A major discount to current cash may be totally justified. It looks like this might be a situation where every future quarter further depletes the cash, with small potential for exciting news, and a new round of disgusted shareholders selling the stock lower.

I believe that a biotech company tracking stock should be limited to a
high risk - high potential type of thing - like a GZMO (which I own)
where it could go to zero or go up 10 times. This does not seem to meet that profile.

Can anyone who is more knowledgeable on their product lines please comment on this assessment?
