Nice to see all your posts ... I have been poking around in ole NostraD's quatrains for a couple of months, and since we are into nuclear physics today, what do you make of this?

Migrez! migrez de Geneve trestous
Saturne d'or en fer se changera
Le contre Raypoz exterminera tous
Avant l'advent le Ciel signes fera
Translation
All migrate, migrate from Geneva!
The Lord shall change gold into iron
Atomic rays shall exterminate all
Before the event, Heaven shall give a sign
(I have modified the original translation, but mine seemed clearer)
Interpretation
The Lord shall destroy Geneva with nuclear weapons, changing its gold into iron. Before it happens, there will be a warning sign in the heavens.
Notes:
Migrez (emigrer): to migrate, move; trestous: all; Saturne: the Day of the Lord; or: gold; fer: iron, sword, "Saturne en fer" means God's Chastisement; contre: opposite; Raypoz: positive ray, "contre raypoz means electronic ray or nuclear weapon; avant: before; advent: event; ciel: Heaven, sky.
From my digging at the following site (I have little real knowledge of physics to understand what I found), I realize that gold probably will not change into iron after being nuked, but maybe Platinum? Mercury?

What do you know about gold after it is subjected to very strong radiation?
