Where we differ is that I do not consider buying ABTX as a mistake. If you have taken the time to review my posts you will discover that I have invested in many stocks that took dives after my initial purchase (AATT, MATR, and VISX are examples), but then later recovered to yield hefty profits (68%, 38%, and 52%). I have the further advantage of reaping capital gain rates on all my holdings because they are held for the long-term.
Though the stock price of ABTX has dropped significantly, in my view, the value of the company has steadily increased. The recent insider buying is a good indication that the company is headed for better times (over the long-term). ABTX possesses strategic advantages that make it an extremely well positioned in its industry (size, management talent, research programs, distribution channels, germplasm). It is not a mistake to hold ABTX until it can realize its strategic plan. |
