Can't comment on 2000 since I haven't loaded the beta yet but in any event it will no doubt be more advanced/scalable/feature rich than the existing products, which are great. Whether everyone will run to upgrade right away I don't know ... you can bet it will be shipping on all new boxes in October though. Re set-tops, MSFT has a the leverage with their recent telco/cable buying spree. They are sending a clear message that they are committed to CE on set-tops. Also, it's easier to migrate the existing Windows based software/applications to CE that re-write them for a new environment. As a result CE has the advantage.
