I see what you are saying but still no benefit of retrieving your email unless you are a partner of the company.
My misunderstanding. The way I interpet it; they will be able to retrieve anyone's email anywhere.
Yes, No?
Now if they can do that, then it is big, big,big news, but as I stated before these ISP's; no matter if they are high speed, ASDL, Satellite, or telephone, they are making it more difficult to retrieve one's email when one is out of town.
Which is my concern? Not having to be a partner and still be able to get your email from your local ISP and not having to sign up with something like Hotmail or one of those other services which are extremely, extremely slow, because everyone and his brother has a generic address..
The true key to it all and making it truely compatible; make it universal for everyone so you can retrieve your email from anywhere any time. That I can do now and don't need a partner. I still have my access back at home.
The only other alternative, is one of the major ISPs and we know how crowded they all have become.
Once, they all switch to ASDL, Satellite, etc; we will have the influx of problems all over again.
The true solution to email as of now; there is none with out having to outsource which in my opninion will be a huge, huge market in the next 2-5 years.
All of the ISP's will be outsourcing their clients emails to free up their servers.
Major money will be dumped into email networks completely seperate from ISPs.
Check out this company www.mail.com
They are already doing what I am talking about and they will be one of the leaders in the industry.
