I am sweating, myself. My mother still hadn't cleaned out the storage locker, and called Chris today to ask if he could do it. We had to move her stuff so we could get our last few things out, so he said yes. Two truck loads of boxes to her place, and we finally were able to get to our oriental rug and two box springs. I took a cold shower and am wearing a terry robe with a terry towel wrapped around my neck, and I am still sweating. A/C feels mighty fine.
In a little while we are going to drive to Crystal City, and park there - my husband has a parking pass, and take the metro to Arlington Cemetary, and walk on bridge across the Potomac - that should get us in the vicinity of the Lincoln monument. I wish I had a camp stool, I saw a couple of people with them yesterday, and they looked mighty handy. I am still too stiff to feel comfortable sitting on the ground, and I get tired of standing up. And lawn chairs are so unwieldy. Think I'll log off and see if any sporting goods stores are open today, this is America, it's probably just another shopping day for some.
