The timing is curious, though getting the story out there this early in the election cycle probably works to GW's advantage, particularly as there appears to be no smoking gun. We never did get the full story on Clinton until after the 1992 election.

Next come the oil patch and stadium stories. The American Spectator, which loathes any Republican to the left of Attila, did a hatchet job on these issues last month. The article didn't contain anything that I found disturbing. The main points seemed to be that people have lost a lot of money in the oil business over the past twenty years and that GW used his political influence to get a stadium constructed. Duh.
