Red, I hope you are correct.......as best as I can infer the size distribution curve(I prefer using the curve rather than using the size ratio between Pits 1&2 and Pits 3&4-this is about 20% more conservative than your numbers), I am expecting 18 crystals(>10.8 carats each) from Pit#3(a total of 24 from both pits)....not as many as you calculate might show up, but still a respectable number.....of course, Winspear could be unlucky and recover fewer than 18 crystals >10.8 carats in size, or, Winspear could get lucky and recover a few more than 18 such crystals...lets also hope they are all of good enough quality to be unanimously considered "specials" by all seven diamontaires, as in Pit#4:-) regards, teevee
