Give 'em a little wedgie, you mean? .. could be, i dunno ... last summer when Big Dog had his rockin' the medical world promotion going on cygs, i enquired about shorting otc-bbs at one full-service house where I still have an old account. They said yes, but on strict terms - 250% margin, where the proceeds of the sale make up 100%, so to short for instance $10k worth of 'stock' you use $15k of equity in the account. I never got around to it, partly because the guy i know at that house was on holidays, and partly just through personal inertia. Should have, though - it would have been one of the better investment decisions of that summer.
If i ever do short a stock, I will immediately post the fact on its thread, along with my reasoning for doing so ... just like a long position ... all same thing, imho. |
