Thanks for the note. We might eventually get back to "rational" drug design, even intelligent observations or just straight good basic research that requires critical thinking.
I hope ArQule will find something though. They badly need a big hit. My totally speculative estimate is that approximately 1 in 100 billion molecules have significant potential for becoming a useful new drug, assuming that it gets discovered and developed. Maybe less.
