When did I say I served in Vietnam? I said my cousin died there. I was too young to be drafted, but if the war had lasted a couple more years, I would have been in the rice fields, too. My father served in Korea, and my Grandfather in France in World War One (bronze star winner, along with croix de guerre), along with countless cousins and uncles. To my knowledge, no member of my family has sought to join the National Guard during war time, although George W. Bush, Quayle, Forbes managed to do it, and Clinton's record on this is even more despicable (although let's not forget, as a poor boy, he didn't have the connections to get into the National Guard).

How, as Republicans, can we tolerate a shirker as Commander-in-chief? I'm sorry, but I'll save my salutes for Bob Dole and John McCain. You can slobber all over those who so valiantly defended Texas(Bush), Indiana (Quayle), and New Jersey (Forbes), when poor men went off to fight and die.
