Why strikes me as a curiously good indicator is the paucity of cheerleading on the threads. With a few notable exceptions such as Ram and Hedy on SI and Mirza on Yahoo, these threads are silent!

Another thing, in order to achieve this current runup which is still a lesser percentage gain than last year's run in Oct/Nov, there has been a much larger volume. This suggests to me that a lot more people have sold into this ramp than the last. I think both these things bode well for a long term continued price increase. I think stunned silence is the appropriate characterization of most people's reaction to Xicor's recent performance. Therefore I predict only a minimal drop after earnings, assuming the conventional wisdom is correct and they produce a sequentially improving but still less than stellar result.

Stunned silence, stunning performance, what a switch from the last three years.
