Alright, it started out as a BBS. It was later called an on line service provider, akin to OLSPs Compuserve and Prodigy. They have servers tied into DNS. Email that works off of POP3 servers and software. Links into the NAPs and other peering points. And yet, you would have us believe that AOL is something resembling Zen, rather than being a bona fide ISP. Of course, I don't know where your tongue is planted when you say that, but I'll take it for face value. We have one vote that AOL is a religion, and none thus far supporting the notion that it is an ISP.

Let's hear some more opinions. I may have to dig into the AOL thread to get some more votes cast here. That's what I'll do. Uh, on second thought, maybe that's not what I'll do.
