24601, You don't get my point on this matter. To me, in theory, WAVX's transaction system does sound better, unfortunately, it does not warrant paying a premium greater than 1,000% of what Visa charges on transactions. Face it, consumers are cheap and internet consumers are the cheapest, and people getting PC's via PC Free are the cheapest of the cheap. These wave enabled PC Free cheapos will most assuredly be using Visa for their transactions. Like I keep saying, don't fall in love with the technology, look at the business plan. On a technology level, DIVX, BetaMax, IRID, Mac OS are all neato, but they still got creamed in the market cause they priced themselves too high for the service they offered relative to the competition.----gj
Now if WAVX could do it's thing at a total of 3% premium per transaction while being able to get deployed on most box makers, then you may be in business (you still have to get past the fact that most people are leary of sending $ to unknown companies to fund an account). BTW, do you realize how much merchants bitch at having to suck up Visa's 2.5% premium on transactions? with WAVX, we're talking on the order of 35% and up... Oh my!!! |
