Actually I do have about 50% of the missing bookmarks on a floppy ,and have even put them on the hard-drive but can't get the Communicator to accept them. I was informed by someone that the IE is far superior to NS in bookmark management. I am personally clueless as to how how Netscape could have been so foolish to not perfect their bookmarks for the Communicator--but not only did they not perfect them, they degenerated them. Bookmarks are of major importance to me,and a lot of bookmarks I need,at any given time. But I can spend 5 minutes just trying to find a bookmark on Netscape due to their inability to sort by alphabet(a simple function they evidently,in major stupidity, deemed unnecessary. I had a nightmarish failure in downloading the IE5.0 tonight to make my day): After downloading 18.864KBs of a 18,866kbs download it stopped!!!! And gave me a message that the download could not be completed, and suggested I try again!(not likely!) But after realizing I actually have NO choice but to go to IE due to the Communicator's major flaw I have decided I will order a CD for the IE5.0. The thing that amazes me Netscape isn't even offering a patch for the BookMark problem, eventhough I see it is their listed #1 complaint--I predict the browsser war is over with this issue, and I was to this day a loyal.loyal Netscaper. This "little matter" reveals Netscape is getting sloppy and I am hearing a lot of good things about the IE5.0. Too bad,I really was rooting for Netscape, but actually now they are just a part of AOL,so who cares.Max90 |
