Ynot,

CPQ

I'm very comfortable w/ my hold in Compaq. I have seen many top stock pickers choose CPQ to perform well over the next 12 mos. Like Laszlo Birinyi from Rukeyser's wall street week.
Earnings are expected to improve. My earlier estimate about price movement was probably conservative. Once a CEO and earnings outlook improve the stock will quickly rise from short covering and momentum.
The chart has the appearance of a short term dip below 23...if that happens I will buy more.

SMOD is the only stock I know who's performance is tired very closely w/ CPQ, since a majority of it's earnings come from them. However, I look for stocks that may outperform in the short term. I'm concentrating on earnings plays right now and am coming across many nice stocks. I hope to list some of my results later today, I hope I can update a few pages on my webpage with more detailed info on some of these stocks....it takes so much time to do, I no longer have that luxury and prefer to continue digging for more profit makers.

Here are a few stocks to research that will be on my coming watch lists:

INKT 136.94
VNWK 33.25
TRND 2.75
SWY 49.88
MLHR 23.31
LUMI 3.5
IMSG 1.19
PFX 20.5
RGFC 17.94
APEX 21.88
INCY 28.09
CLTK 6.44
ETEK 44.25
NWK 10.56
