It is certainly very difficult to set an accurate figure on the total tax that one pays, as there are so many different ways for the government to disguise it:-(

The thing that is delaying introduction of ADSL service here is the attempt by BT to exclude other operators from access to the local loop hardware. It remains to be seen how this works out.
