Aloha Makamai, Owen Jones did say AT&T... A Lucent connection seems right but AT&T distributed its shares of Lucent Technologies common stock to AT&T shareowners on Sept. 30, 1996. Now Lucent Technologies is supposed to be a fully independent company. If it not with Lucent/Ascend then what could it be...?

Since 1996 the focus is:
AT&T: communications and information services
Lucent: Technologies Inc. communications systems and technology
NCR: Corporation transaction-intensive computing

With AT&T proper it would be...

1)-AT&T Business Internet Services:
AT&T WorldNet Business Services provides IP connectivity and IP value-added services, messaging, and electronic commerce services to businesses. AT&T Web Site Services are a family of hosting and transaction services and platforms such as: AT&T Shared Hosting Services, helps businesses establish a presence on the World Wide Web, and AT&T Enhanced Web Development Package for businesses that want to create web sites that require higher performance and greater user demand. AT&T Dedicated Hosting Service provides customizable and pre-packaged Web hosting solutions. AT&T SecureBuySM Service provides the backoffice infrastructure required to electronically process credit card transactions online. AT&T offers a Web site "call me now" icon if they wish to speak to a live customer service agent.

But consider this...

2)-At Home Corporation and Excite atext.com
A provider of broadband Internet services that delivers data to homes and businesses through the cable television infrastructure at cable modem at speeds. @Home currently offers two Internet services: @Home for residential consumers and @Work for businesses and tele-commuters. AT&T bought TCI... TCI was a founding partner of @Home and as of this spring four officers of AT&T or TCI were on @Home's 11 member board. @Home's recently announced merger with Excite Inc could dilute AT&T/TCI influence on the BOD. But no doubt about it, @Home needs e commerce help.

Enjoy yourself vacationing in the Seattle area! If you will be able to take a run up to BC. I look forward to a report!
