MEATHEAD wrote, "Too early to tell. Dell has done an excellent job in the corporate market but the consumer crowd is the most fickle of all and presents numerous challenges for any business to differentiate."

Another difference in consumer markets versus business markets is the creative marketing that takes place in the consumer area. Examples of this type of marketing is the mixture of advertising revenue to discount product price (such as for ISP monthly subscription cost reduction), and recently the use of ISP monthly subscription rider to a "free PC."

Dell is as able as any company to compete in the consumer market using the latest creative marketing method. Dell will also make money because of their business efficiency and flexibility.
Cheers
