Lets; Keep in mind History is full of National Leaders who had outstanding records of military service to their country and turned out to be the absolute worse dictators when they managed to take over the country. I'm not sure military service should be considered when your looking for qualities in a politician On the other hand Nelson Mandela had a prison record but with out him I think South Africa would have exploded into civil war. ------------------------------- I like Bush jr as a person, better than his Daddy, but still think he will implement most of his daddy's economic policies which caused huge unemployment and almost shut down the country, beyond that there is the CIA connection, I'm concerned about more hegemonical hidden power whenever the CIA gets a favorite son in the highest office of the country. I do hope my concerns are not valid ones as it looks like Bush is a shoe in. Kinlton's broken zipper destroyed any chance the opposition may have. He embarrassed the entire country and should have stepped down and got his pardon like Nixon, and then got out of sight. This wont even be a race , also History is full of fallen Nations who trusted their leaders without question. But If I were taking bets I'd bet on Bush to be the next President also knowing taht I'm chickenSit I won't start bashing him and take all taht heat. Why this guy is going to be so popular that any one who bashes him may as well be prepared to leave the country or get roasted over charcoal. ON top of that I live in Texas and this State will likely get a lot of perks and pork if Bush gets in as that's the way the game is played, so I guess I may as well vote for him. Gota stick with the winners and Bush will win this one, maybe we will survive anyway. This is one of the few Nations that runs Presidents more than they run the Nation. Jim
