Hello Bill: Are you the fellow "Winspearian" Bill? Re the recent ruling, I'm going to disapoint you as I have not bee following the steel stocks for some time. From my experience, there may be some modest effect due to the favourable ruling, but what drives companies such as STE, DFS, etc. are improving dividend yields and increaing earnings (leading to lower PE's or higher share price). If anyone is looking for stocks with an eye to capital gains over a year or more, I would suggest you look into the following companies: WSP.V, BRA.T, HUM.T Just my opinion of course.
I find the steels so darn boring to invest in and potential returns limited. Keeping in mind the overcapacity projected for the next 10 or so years, I can't see to bright a future for these companies share price. But what do I know!
