Jim,
I haven't read any of Doug Casey's writings, however I do agree with being cautious with BB stocks; but I think that should mean that a person is very selective in which ones they trade (on any exchange). Obviously a thinly traded stock can spell disaster when trying to exit but not all of them should be avoided. Also I tend to lean towards companies that I think are doing some good things, have a decent amount of trading volume/history and also some of the ones that are dually listed in the U.S. and Cananda, thus giving a little more liquidity. I do own a few stocks that I purchased long ago that rarely ever trade and learned back then to do my own homework on any stock. I will try to locate some of Casey's writings, the "no-bid" thing sounds interesting.
John
