Robert, in my unqualified personal opinion my current thoughts are:

We can always have a pre-earnings dip and might, although nothing
is certain. I think the entire industry is healthy and have no reason for consternation. I believe the market wants to have a big summer uptick. I look for continued good things based on good times. My research leaves me pleased about TI.

I just do not know what to say about CDMA; I need to do some homework on it. Personally, I expect DSP processing power to rise to the occasion, with time and in time, to be a major force in this marketplace just like with GSM. Further, System level integration type solutions would cover any mix of hardware and programmable requirements whatever they might be. Again, I'm just not too well
informed. Maybe there is no readily avalable answer yet and that's why you are compelled to continue searching for one????

There is time to see how all this works out although I'm still not ready to count alternative solutions out. I'm watchful but not fearful.

The future looks bright. I'm trying to time the peak of this semiconductor boom and I'm beginning to think it may come next year, second half after the Y2K thing is past us. I'm thinking the highs this year will be exceeded next year or worst case 2001. Particularly when you read that DSP market status letter somebody just posted; Seems to be a ton of different applications to play in. What do you think?

JB
