I have traded IDX several times in the last two years. I am now considering making a long term investment. All the recent talk of partnerships with Motorola, Novell, etc. are very impressive. What is not clear to me is exactly what these relationships, if successful, will mean to the bottom line of IDX. I remember seeing optimistic predictions of revenue from the Sylvan deal that haven't materialized yet. If, as had been said many times that the money is not in the hardware but in the software, then what exactly is IDX selling and when can we expect it to impact the bottom line.
