I sold off a couple of months ago, my gaming stocks. If I had know that they were picking you apart, I might have stayed in.
The bottom line is, Las Vegas now has more rooms than gamblers.
>>Mirage Resorts (MIR: news, msgs) shares sank 1 1/2 to 15 1/4 after the company warned it expects second-quarter earnings in the range of 7 to 10 cents a share, well below analysts' consensus estimate of 24 cents. Mirage posted a profit of 18 cents a share in the same quarter a year earlier. The company cited the opening of two competitors in the Las Vegas market, a refurbishment at one of its facilities and low table-game wins for the projected shortfall.
