truedog, it's all opinions here -- that's what we're doing. I think George, Jr. is a more accurate term than the very carefully crafted (after many polls, I'm sure) term George W. Bush.

Why is George, Jr. desperate to avoid reminding people that he's the son of an ex-President? We all know why. American voters don't like to be reminded that our system (if Bush Lite is elected) is turning into an antidemocratic political aristocracy based on the inanity of name recognition. In our mindless, 8-hour/day TV watching culture, Bush is just a comfortable brand name, not a real political candidate.

It will be fascinating to watch his very well paid, sophisticated advertising/marketing NYC handlers try to finesse the Bush Lite obvious problems -- severe inexperience and admitted moral lapses. If George, Jr. is just gonna rely on his advisors and Cabinet appointees for everything, why not just elect his advisors. What value does Bush Lite add?

P.S. I hope Bush is a true conservative/libertarian who wants to keep govt out of all of our personal lives unlike the pretend conservatives in the current Christian Coalition Repub party who want to legislate personal morality. I hope Bush will have the spine to stand up to these folks -- we'll see who's got the real power in the Repub party these days.
