I talked to some people today with pretty good insight into what's going on at Open Text. It seems that they are really taking it to Documentum. Documentum is actually losing customers to Open Text because Livelink runs on the Web and Documentum is a long, long way from coming up with a competing solution. Documentum is down near it's all-time low this week and has been selling off quite a bit. I also go some insight into their plans for the future of Livelink. Open Text really has the vision for where the Internet is going. They continue to anticipate what the customers need. They have such a flexible architecture that they can continue to design and produce cutting edge products that make a difference. I also heard they have some good new customers. All in all, it was extremely positive. Based on this, I just bought 15,000 shares at $8. I am looking for it to be back near $12 after they release Q3 numbers.
