For the average "Joe" wine is very had to invest in especially if you take delivery of the bottles. Living in Texas I would not be able to provide a suitable storage place without investing about $3,000. For those who have cellars and the temperature is in the 70s, you've got it made.

What I know about years of wine drinking is to order my favorites and try those that are offered to me by friends. It seems very hit or miss when any decent returns are realized from investing in wine.... wine futures may be different.

I've recently run across an Oil on Canvas by Frederick deBourg Richards (1822-1903). The piece is called "Culp's Hill" and is dated 1865. It was painted while Richards was living in Pennsylvania from 1848-1866. The piece is 25x35 and features the Hill where Culp was killed near the end of the Civil War. Named after Culp who lived only minutes from the hill. I'm researching the piece and trying to learn more; auction records are inclusive. Any insight as to the value?
