You have to have PCQuotes to use Schwab's day trading system and get the lower fee. I talked to a couple of the managers at Schwab complaining that people were forced to use PCQuotes when other systems were out there. They said they have received similar complaints but because of an agreement with PCQuotes they don't plan on changing for a while.

As for trading...I am really getting into the futures trading gig.
S&P and NASDAQ minis are a blast. They move so fast on high volume every day...it is never boring. I have all three screens going with 4-6 charts on each screen all in different time frames (1 minute, 5 minute, 30 minute) with dozen of TA signals and alarms going at the same time. You have the N.Y Trin and Tick, Bond markets, Dow, Nasdaq, Various dollar contracts, S&P 500 and 100, Futures Premium plus all the futures contracts (e.g S&P minis and Nasdaq minis) to watch. They are all interconnected and divergences are make for great trades. I find all the technical signals are a lot cleaner on the charts than on normal stocks. Trades go through and hit the boards in 3-4 seconds (they bypass the broker on Globex). I really don't know if I will come back to the "normal" individual stock day trading game soon unless some changes are made. However I will always have a place in my heart for the good old Canadian stocks and still follow my daily moving bunch although I haven't been trading them much.

Nice move on NCT. I didn't want to take the risk of a halt and drop but you had the guts and got the glory.
