<Wrong, kis. The govt's measurements of savings rates are completely antiquated, and everyone knows this. People are saving, just in different ways than they did 30 years ago. Did you know that your statement above ignores 401k and Roth IRA savings plans? > I didn't know this. If so, then the nation would be in bigger trouble if it's savings rate were positive.
