you seem like someone who is good with numbers, give this a whirl...
lets assume 30 new customers in the quarter (deducting partners counted)and count back five quarters (estimated implementation cycle) and take a conservative 15% for maintenance...$8.5m
take the $18.5m - 8.5 = $10m in new sales / 30 = $ 333k/sale LOL better still this includes both software and services blend the typical industry gross margins of about 60%, even curiouser, bwuhahahahaha
now either the CEO/CFO can't count, there are plenty of no charge sales, or i'm off base...here's a clue, i'm not that far off, imho
$ 333k total per unit sales for BVSN, inclusive of services would have been laughed out of the VC offices, it would not have been IPO'd, imho
give the company a call...ask them to 'show you the money'
anyway, i think that while it could split as you say, it might not
indeed my opinion is that all the announcements about the number of new customers, profits and revenues and costs announced will start to get back in synch and be brutal to the bottom line, i think :)
besides the auditors should be able to count, i would think :)
good luck with it, and read the financials very carefully, i will
