BigBull, The total number of land drillers in North Americais shrinking as the "big boys/girls" buy up the smaller companies. That alone should help pricing, though they'd shudder if they read that I wrote that!

Presence anywhere in the "southern cone" of South America is good. That includes northern Argentina, SE Peru or S Bolivia. Those gas fields pipe into southern Brazil and Argentina- areas of major population densities and heavy industrial activity - good gas markets.

In Venezuela, activity is picking up in the heavy oil fields in the Cerro Negro, or Black Hills on the east side of the Country. Is Parker active in that area?

IMO activity is picking up onshore North American in most regions except maybe the onshore heavy oil fields in the Central Valley of California..

As to independents vs majors/state oil companies, both have advantages. independents move quickly, but use more leverage too...That can cut both ways....

Finally if you're ever in South America turn on the Argentinian newscasts. The Argentinian Anchorwomen are pound-for-pound the best looking newswomen on Planet Earth, ha!

Sincerely,

Doug F.
