Iris,

One characteristic of momentum stocks is their run up ahead of earnings. Semis & Telecom stocks were the true momentum leaders and made fresh 52-wk highs this time. However, all the NETS could do was to stage a luke-warm late rally.

Therefore, unlike last quarters when well-known better-quality internet stocks sold off sharply after delivering good earnings, this quarter they stand a better chance to stage a post-earnings rally if they deliver excellent earnings/outlook.

In that case, look for an upside explosion in the NAZ, within the next three weeks.

We should know by the time YHOO reports.
