I am well aware of the "process"
Ok, then explain it to me in more detail, I want to learn.

What *exactly* do you mean by "Fidelity trades against you"?
Don't all MM's trade against you?

How does Fidelity process an order, when do they trade it internally and when do they forward it to "the market" and how do they route that order?

Now if they actually deliberately delayed your order waiting for the market to be more favorable to them thats a pretty serious thing. Do you have concrete proof of that? Could you explain it detail how it happened?

BTW: Its not really a matter of prejudice, its because of the number of times I have seen buy orders at bid executed in a rising market and even a few times when a buy is executed below the best bid (never figured out why) that I doubt Fidelity makes a deliberate habit of shafting the customer.
