AJ:
I'm scratching my head in disbelief at the current rise of ALSC and ISSI, and can only account for this success due to rising B2B industry numbers, and lack of SRAM on hand.
I can't deny that technically, ISSI will continue to rise, but only on momentum, not from any fundemental success. Wall St. is fickle, and a stop loss should be placed on this stock by all who own it.
I think there is potential for a turn around here. Usually, technicals trail fundamentals, meaning significant technical shift in beaten down stocks like ISSI occur when there is a shift in the fundamentals for the better. Assuming the new market opportunities in communications and networking are sustainable, any selling now may prove to be disastrous (From a view point of a missed opp.).
Back in 1994, I sold my dell position (currently valued at about $800K) for a forty percent profit because I ignored a shift in the PC business paradigm. While I have very little info by way of how well ISSI is managed (a very reticent management, this group led by Jimmy Lee), the fact that they have weathered the storm may be indicative of concrete strengths that may play well for future profitability.
