I think that you have slipped into a moral relativism that always amounts to poor reasoning. You can never say, "A has never been in B's position, so he therefore cannot criticize B's actions."

Isn't that what the liberals have done for so long? Haven't we heard so many times that we have to excuse and "understand" people who lie, rob, kill, etc. because they had bad childhoods, and we had "never been in their shoes." I've heard that plenty--"X was abused as a child. how can you denounce him now for his criminal acts of violence. Were you ever in his shoes?"

Moral relativism starts by insisting that you can only judge people if you've been in their circumstances. No one has been in anyone else's circumstances exactly. This is a slippery moral compass you're using, and it's not rational thinking if you really analyze it.
