Walt --

You know what happened when these boards complained to the FCC about usage fees, don't you? They received 80,000 messages in four days. The report said, "Mail, most of it from consumers siding with Internet service providers against access fees, continues to pour in at a rate of 30 messages a minute, and at one point, temporarily crashed the agency's e-mail computer server."

As to having congress encourage fast Internet access, I read in today's LA Times that there's a bill before the California legislature asking for assistance for small and medium businesses. The sponsor claims large businesses have an unfair advantage because they can pay the fees needed to get high-speed access. The implications are powerful, indeed.

If you're serious about about writing McCain, post his email address and I'll certainly whip out a repost.

Cheers!

Pat
