Most Americans are comfortable with the powerful and elite redefining even the most basic common sense ideas to be something vague and meaningless; for example, we were recently told what what to believe the meaning of "sexual relations" is and what "is" is and most seemed happy to go along with the meaningless redefinition as long as the economy is good and our strategic military dominance is strong. Sorry you missed that.
